Collegiate Heights Retirement Residence, our well-appointed, full service retirement residence in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, requires a Community Relations Manager. The ideal candidate will be a cheerful person who will coordinate activity programs to meet the residents’ interests and needs. The incumbent will have a minimum of three (3) years of experience with activity planning and excellent communication, organizational, and computer skills. Experience in a retirement residence setting would be preferred. A degree or diploma in the recreation/activation field is an asset.
The successful candidate’s responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Identifying and assessing the residents’ needs to develop fulfilling activities;
- Encouraging resident participation in programs;
- Creating monthly activity calendars in a timely manner;
- Coordinating a meaningful volunteer program;
- Promoting Collegiate Heights Retirement Residence while developing and fostering partnerships within the community;
- Assisting and supporting other department managers, including the marketing team, as needed.
