Maidstone Coffee Canada is actively seeking a dual-licensed electrician and industrial millwright who is committed to safety, is self motivated and highly skilled, and who possesses a strong troubleshooting background. This opportunity involves installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting all required equipment in a brand new facility.

Qualifications:

·         A minimum of 5 years manufacturing and industrial maintenance experience and a considerable knowledge of maintenance principles, practices and methods as applicable in an industrial food manufacturing setting  with a strong emphasis in an electrical background.

 

 ·         Advanced working knowledge in one or more of the following areas: HVAC, electrical-PLC programming, motor controls, mechanical, hydraulic & pneumatic systems, bearings, conveyors, piping systems, welding and fabricating, building and modifying equipment.

·        Advanced working knowledge in RS Logix and RS Networx software.

·         The ability to read mechanical drawings, electrical and pneumatic schematics and manuals for equipment.

·         Experience in diagnosing equipment malfunctions and executing necessary repairs.

·         A working knowledge of local and national electrical codes and other codes as applicable to assigned tasks is also needed.

·         A basic knowledge of lift truck service/repair, plumbing, carpentry, power transmission, machine parts and electrical pneumatic components, proper usage and proper maintenance procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Commits to ensuring a safe work environment for all team members.
  • Trouble shoots, repairs and maintains all production and facilities-related equipment, including high speed packaging equipment, material handling systems, volumetric feed systems, grinders, roasting ovens. and Fanuc robot cells
  • Works in a manner that respects Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and all related food safety requirements.
  • Reads and interprets blueprints/schematics
  • Performs necessary preventative and predictive maintenance on all production and facilities equipment.
  • Provides on-call emergency support outside of principle periods of maintenance.  
  • Supports maintenance related computer software for reporting of parts inventory, equipment history, shift work reporting, preventative maintenance etc.
  • Assists in the creation and implementation of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and Job Safety Analysis (JSAs).
  • Provides on-the-job training to new employees as required.
  • Support a 24/7 schedule when necessary.
  • Performs other duties as required.
