The Tim Horton Children’s Foundation is a non-profit, charitable organization dedicated to providing an enriched and memorable camp experience for children and youth who come from economically disadvantaged homes. The THCF is currently recruiting for a qualified:

Communications & Development Assistant

Tim Horton Children’s Foundation

St. George, Ontario

Contract Position: May 3rd – August 27th, 2010

Reporting to the Communications & Development Manager, this role will work closely with members of the Communications & Development team to support Foundation communications projects, special events, and stewardship programs.

Qualifications:

• College or University New Graduate in a related field of study

• Strong time management and organization skills

• Strong written and oral communication

• Experience using Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Publisher

• Customer service experience

• Not for Profit industry knowledge is an asset

Key Responsibilities:

• Assists with the seasonal Camper Yearbook Program by organizing cabin group photo’s and testimonials.

• Provides support to the Special Events & Stewardship Coordinator through the collection and tracking of Store Owner updates, volunteer hours, and event gift registry.

• Organizes and assists in the execution of the THCF Annual Golf Tournament by gathering registrant information, producing signage, and following up with various participants and volunteers.

• Acts as back up coverage for the Administration Assistant.

• Supports and attends special events as needed.

The successful candidate will be required to complete a criminal background check.
