DIRECTOR, RETAIL SALES

Location: CTV Montreal

Salary: Commensurate with qualifications and experience

Responsibilities:

Working closely with the Senior Vice-president and General Manager of the station, the incumbent leads and directly manages the CTV Montreal Retail Sales department.  Key responsibilities include:

·         Development and implementation of sales plans and strategies in line with the corporate objectives;

·         Understanding and analysis of market research and trends in order to identify new businesses and future opportunities;

·         Investigation and reporting  on local competitive activities and market conditions;

·         Leading their team by providing  insights, coaching, mentoring  and development to direct reports;

·         Ensuring  compliance with Company policies and procedures including rates and productivity reports;

·         Establishing compensation plans for all sales personnel including salary structures and commissions plans;

·         Recruitment and evaluation of direct reports;

·         Assuring continuity and maintaining  good relations with major accounts in order to increase sales on a profitable basis;

·         Developing relationships with community organisations/associations;

·         Primary liaison with other departments such as Revenue Management and Creative Services to ensure business objectives are met. 

 

Qualifications:

·         Bachelor degree in Marketing, Business  or other related degree;

·         Minimum of 10 years of sales and marketing experience, preferably within the broadcasting environment;

·         Minimum  of 5 years in a sales management capacity;

·         Proven track record in achieving and exceeding sales targets;

·         Proven leadership to influence, develop and empower employees to achieve objectives with a team approach;

·         Excellent strategic and execution skills;

·         Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills and the ability to build close client relationships

·         Strong communication skills, both oral and written; excellent organizational skills;

·         Thrive under pressure in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment;

·         Computer skills to create and interpret reports, documents and presentations;

·         Fluently bilingual.
