Job Description :

Position Overview: The Buyer’s Assistant position is key to the success of the Buying Department. The ideal candidate is passionate about fashion and the Amnesia lifestyle, is extremely organized and has excellent time-management skills. Building and maintaining key relationships with departments such as Buying, Marketing, Allocations, Vendors, Distribution Centre, Store Operations is also a highly important skill in this role.

Responsibilities:

• Follow-up on the purchases and deliveries
• Follow-up on late merchandise discounts
• Builds and maintains a buying bible
• Sample Room management: Receiving and maintaining all samples, returns to stores and daily maintenance
• Ensure that all new arrivals are posted on the internet
• Provide Marketing with weekly newsletter information
• Provide Marketing/Allocations with events spreadsheets.
• Analyze the vendors inventories in detail to write repeat orders and find required inventory
• All required follow-ups requested by the buyer
• Store sales analysis to maximize results make recommendations to buyer
• Prepare product knowledge documents for stores
• Maintain an organization system to facilitate the management of files and reports
• Communication with vendors to negotiate rebates, billing process, etc.
• Review buying orders confirmation from suppliers
• Help in the preparation of photo shoots and ensure all samples required are available
• Stays up to date on all fashion trends and lifestyles of customer base
• Special Buying projects
• Weekly Store Visits

Requirements:
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills
• Organizational skills and building and maintaining a priority management system
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, French and English
• Excellent negotiator
• Initiative and responsibility
• Good stress-management skills
• Experience with MS Office software : Excel, Word and Outlook
