Payroll Administrator Our Payroll Team manages a national bi-weekly payroll for all of our stores using Ceridian Payroll platform. This is an entry level position however the Payroll Administrator plays a very important role in ensuring that our employees in all of our banners across Canada are paid in a timely and accurate manner.
SPECIFIC DUTIES
Processing of Bi-weekly Payroll
- Collect hours from all banners and department heads on a biweekly basis across Canada.
- Process all payroll changes as required.
- Process and track employee vacation requests, floater and sick days.
- Process all bonus payments.
- Process and monitor payroll deductions such as CSB, RSP deductions and garnishments and reporting to government agencies.
- Audit each biweekly payroll and validate registers before processing and transmitting.
- Balance each banner’s payroll for biweekly payrolls.
- Process manual cheques as required.
- Sort and distribute pay statements.
- Run reports as required for all departments and create ad hoc reports when requested.
- Ensure compliance with external/internal Auditors and Government agencies.
- Respond to payroll inquiries from employees, managers and external sources.
- Keep abreast of all legislation and changes (CPA, HRDC, CRA).
Maintaining Employee Information and Records
- Respond to requests for confirmation of employment.
- Process and send out Records of Employment.
- Maintain employee files.
