Position Overview:
The Quality/Inventory Control Specialist will have strong leadership and organizational skills and the ability to work independently.
Their primary responsibilities will include: monitoring order status queue; investigating picking error and inventory discrepancies; and, inventory cycle counting of discrepancies.
The successful candidate will have strong analytical skills as well as the ability to lead small groups of associates in cycle count / shelf audit assignments.
Responsibilities:
· Monitor order status queue to ensure orders are filled according to priority
· Investigate picking error and inventory discrepancies
· Conduct ongoing inventory cycle count
· Resolve discrepancies resulting from store receipt feedback
· Document all investigations and error trends
· Document thoroughly all inventory adjustments
· Communicate, both verbal and written, with Distribution Centre management
Qualifications:
· Minimum 1 to 2 years Distribution Centre experience with a proven track record of success (preferred but not a must)
· Thorough understanding of all aspects of Distribution operations including receipt, inventory management, picking, order monitoring and auditing
· Outgoing, energetic, self-motivated individual with strong computer skills in both Word & Excel
· Credible, able to influence others and deal with conflict situations
· Outstanding organizational and planning skills
· Effective time-management skills
