We are looking for a Merchandise Planner- West 49 Outlets!
Overview:
In this new position, the Merchandise Planner, West 49 Outlets will be responsible for the day to day Merchandise Planning of the West 49 Outlet stores. He/she will display strong leadership, interpersonal and communication skills. The Merchandise Planner works with our Outlet Buyers and allocation team to ensure constant flow of new merchandise to the outlets while maintaining optimum inventory levels.
Responsibilities/Duties:
- Builds strong business relationships within team and across functional departments
- Consistently meets deadlines
- Assist in creating pre-season merchandise plans for the Outlet Division in units and dollars
- Recap, analyze and communicate actual to plan results with recommendations for forecasting open to buy
- Monitor weekly and monthly receipt flow. Partner with DC, Purchase Order Processor and Merchants to ensure sufficient flow to meet business demands
- Analyze sales and inventory data to identify opportunities to drive outlet business.
- Assist in creating outlet price point strategies and business blend of product to meet gross margin goals
- Manage and execute timely recalls of aged product from concept West 49 stores to the outlet locations
Preferred Qualifications:
- Relevant University degree (business or retail management).
- Previous leadership experience managing teams
- Experience in retail planning, analysis and merchandise distribution
- Previous experience in an Outlet division of a national retailer would be considered an asset
- Proven analytical, problem solving and organizational skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills, flexible and approachable
- Computer skills including advanced level Excel, word processing and e-mail. Previous experience with Merchandising programs especially JDA would be an asset
