Reporting to the Maintenance Team Leader, the primary responsibility of the Journeyman Electrician is the efficient and reliable maintenance performance of the operating equipment at EEEP. Equipment ranges from Fractional HP Motors to 5000 HP VFD Motors, various transformers up to 7500 KVA, 60 KVA UPS, and various 120 VAC to 13.8 KV breakers, switchgear and associated equipment.
Responsibilities for the position include, but are not limited to the following:
• Install, alter, repair and maintain a wide range of electrical equipment for safe, efficient and environmentally sound operation;
• Electrical isolation of equipment up to 13.8 KV in preparation for maintenance and repair;
• Ensure all electrical maintenance operations are in compliance with applicable regulations and trade practices;
• Maintain excellent plant reliability to maximize throughputs and maintain costs within targets;
• Co-ordination and supervision of a variety of onsite electrical tasks and projects;
• Provide maintenance assistance for other plant Trades.
Qualifications:
• Certified Alberta Electrical Journeyman;
• Minimum of 5 years industry experience |
