Grey Power Insurance Brokers (a member company of Intact Financial Corporation) is a leading provider of automobile and property insurance to individuals 50 or over. Our insurance products are underwritten by Trafalgar Insurance Company of Canada. We are a fast-paced organization experiencing dynamic growth and change. We currently have an opening for a Workforce Analyst working from our Toronto (Hwy 404 / Finch Ave) office.
What you would be doing
The Workforce Analyst is responsible for providing workforce related support for a call centre in the form of reporting, long and short range forecasting and planning, the scheduling of up to 300 employees, as well as real time intra-day functions. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- On an ongoing basis, this individual analyzes and reports on the most efficient and cost-effective staffing and scheduling strategies available, in order to deliver solutions according to pre-determined performance metrics;
- Liaises with Telephony Dept. as a point of contact to quickly solve technical issues as they are presented;
- Validates and updates Workforce tools to ensure precision and integrity of data collection;
- Proactively provides Workforce Management assistance including headcount requirements, long-term planning, scheduling & bidding strategies, staffing strategies, scheduling analysis, recommendations for improvement to all business units as required;
- Validates forecast and staff planning against actual and budget;
- Occasionally represents the Workforce Dept during management meetings.
What you bring to the table
· University/College diploma or equivalent work experience in a business setting;
· 4-5 years experience in workforce management;
· Strong knowledge of workforce management techniques, including planning, forecasting, scheduling and real time intra-day functions;
· Experience with Workforce management systems such as TotalView and Symposium/CCMS, or similar systems;
· Advanced Excel knowledge is an asset;
· Strong written and verbal communication skills;
· Ability to work in a fast paced environment and able to effectively manage multiple priorities;
· Team player with aptitude to adhere to industry and company regulations / procedures;
· Ability to manage multiple concurrent objectives, projects, groups or activities. Effective judgment in prioritizing and time allocation.
